The Tube Anemone, also known as the Tube Dwelling Anemone, is a unique invertebrate that is more distantly related to true sea anemones. It thrives in a soft, deep substrate and is best suited for a reef or species-only aquarium. Its tube is made up of nematocysts it has discharged and comes in varying colors such as tan, pink, purple, or even fluorescent green.

To create the ideal habitat for the Tube Anemone, the aquarium should have a deep sand bed, plenty of live rock, and a refugium for a natural food source. These anemones are non-photosynthetic and are nocturnal in nature. Therefore, they do not require intense lighting and take time to open during illuminated hours.

Since they rely on regular feeding when fully expanded, they should be fed small frozen foods like brine or mysis shrimp, chopped pieces of fish, and zooplankton.
