The Koran Angelfish, also known as the Semicircular Angelfish or Halfcircled Angelfish, is a hardy and highly sought-after species of angelfish. As an adult, it features a yellow-green body with speckles of blue and yellow that become darker towards the tail. The head is plain yellow-green with sapphire-blue gill margins and eye rings, while the fins are outlined in sapphire blue. The juvenile, on the other hand, is black with white and blue stripes.

To house a Koran Angelfish, you will need a tank of at least 250 gallons with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing on slime algae and cyanobacteria. However, this species is known to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles, so it is not recommended for a reef aquarium.

Offer a varied diet that includes Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and mysis or frozen shrimp at least three times a day to keep your Koran Angelfish healthy and happy.
