The Orange Spotted Blenny, also called the Redspotted Blenny or Red-spotted Rockskipper, boasts a red and white body with orange to reddish spots on its sides. For optimal health and happiness, it needs to be housed in a 30-gallon or larger aquarium with a well-established reef system and plenty of rockwork. It is best to keep only one in a tank unless you have a mated pair. This species may nip at stony coral polyps or clam mantles but is not a threat to other tank mates unless they are predatory. If given a crop of natural microalgae to feed on, the Orange Spotted Blenny is considered to be a hardy fish in an aquarium.

To ensure that the Orange Spotted Blenny thrives, it needs to eat microalgae growing in the tank. It is recommended to feed it a diet rich in marine and blue-green algae, such as Spirulina, as well as other vegetable matter, including frozen and dried foods for herbivores.
