The Orange Line Chromis, also known as the Spiny Chromis, is a school fish commonly found in the reefs of the Indian Ocean. Juvenile Orange Line Chromis have a blue coloration with a distinct orange line running horizontally from the gill plate to the tail. As the fish matures, its color gradually changes to a brownish hue with a white tail.
This hardy fish is suitable for a variety of aquariums and is often kept in small schools for extended periods. It is peaceful and makes a visually stunning addition to any reef aquarium. Orange Line Chromis can live up to 8-15 years in an aquarium with good water quality.
To maintain the fish's bright coloration, its diet should consist of a variety of meaty items, herbivore flakes, and frozen preparations, preferably enriched with vitamins.
