The Spotted Watchman Goby, also known as the Pink and Blue Spotted, Singapore Shrimp, Leptocephalus Prawn, or Pinkspotted Shrimp Goby, displays a captivating appearance with a yellow to tan head and body adorned with pink spots surrounded by smaller blue spots.
To ensure its well-being, the Spotted Watchman Goby should be housed in a 30-gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of loose coral rubble, providing ample swimming space, and a sand bottom for its burrowing behavior. While it generally maintains a non-aggressive demeanor towards other fish, it can be territorial and engage in fights with its own kind unless they form a mated pair. Care should be taken to prevent it from jumping out of the aquarium or other small openings, making a tight-fitting lid a necessity.
When it comes to its diet, the Spotted Watchman Goby enjoys a diverse menu, including mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, table shrimp, and frozen food preparations designed for carnivores. Providing at least two feedings per day will contribute to its overall health and well-being.
