Hector's Goby, also referred to as Hector's Hover Goby, boasts a bluish-black body adorned with striking yellow horizontal stripes and a distinctive eyespot on its dorsal fin.
For a comfortable habitat, a 10-gallon or larger aquarium with ample hiding spots is suitable for this fish. It can be a valuable addition to a reef aquarium as it actively sifts the sand and grazes on hair algae. With a non-aggressive nature, Hector's Goby coexists peacefully with other fish and is compatible with invertebrates in the tank.
Feeding Hector's Goby is hassle-free, as it readily accepts a varied diet that includes marine foods. Its menu comprises generous portions of algae, worms, and prepared foods like vitamin-enriched mysis shrimp and brine shrimp.
