Minimum Tank Size: 10 gallons
The Red Neon Eviota Goby is native to the reefs of Cebu and is a prized discovery in the aquarium industry due to its rarity. These smaller gobies have an elongated and opaque body with distinct red horizontal bands, standing out beautifully against their gold-rimmed large eyes and white-marked nose. Active and peaceful, they prove to be a delightful addition to both saltwater reef and fish-only aquariums.
Providing an optimal environment, a 10-gallon or larger aquarium with ample live rock for hiding and as a supplemental food source is recommended. While they do better in small groups or pairs, it's essential to introduce them simultaneously into the tank. It's best to avoid housing these gobies with larger, aggressive fish or invertebrates to ensure their well-being.
When it comes to their diet, a variety of fresh or frozen seafood, brine shrimp, and mysis shrimp are essential components. Feeding them twice a day will maintain their health and vibrancy in the aquarium.
