However, it can coexist with more aggressive fish. The Yellow Foxface possesses venomous dorsal spines that deter potential predators. When well-fed, rabbitfish like the Yellow Foxface are generally reef-safe, but inadequate feeding may lead them to nip and consume certain species of LPS and soft corals.

To maintain the health and vibrancy of the Yellow Foxface, a diverse diet is essential. Offer a variety of fresh vegetables and undesirable algae species to satisfy its nutritional needs.
