Its striking blood-red coloration adorned with brilliant white spots and long white antennae make it a captivating addition to any tank. Depending on its origin in the Indo-Pacific region, the Blood Red Fire Shrimp may exhibit white dots solely on its carapace or covering its entire body.

This fascinating shrimp is most active during the night and seeks a habitat with caves and overhangs, providing moderate lighting during the day. While the Blood Red Fire Shrimp can tolerate its mate, it tends to chase away or harass others of its kind, necessitating a spacious aquarium setup for multiple specimens. Additionally, it scavenges for meaty bits along the substrate, often leaving only its antennae visible.
