The Twin Spot Wrasse, also known as Clown Coris or Twinspot Coris, exhibits distinct color variations during its life stages. As a juvenile, it sports a silver body with dark spots on the face, and its dorsal fin showcases a pair of dark spots with yellow highlights. In adulthood, the Twin Spot Wrasse transforms into a striking blue-green hue with a white or light green band around its midsection. During courtship, the male intensifies its colors to impress potential mates.

To accommodate the Twin Spot Wrasse, a spacious 300-gallon or larger aquarium is required, along with a 4-6 inch layer of sand for it to bury itself. Keeping a single male in the company of a group of females is ideal, and it is recommended to introduce the females before or at the same time as the male. This approach can help establish a harmonious social dynamic.

As a skilled hunter, the Twin Spot Wrasse feeds on urchins, crabs, shrimp, and small invertebrates. Its relentless search for food leaves no rock unturned (quite literally) in the aquarium.

To ensure the health and well-being of the Twin Spot Wrasse, its diet should consist of a variety of nutritious foods. Vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp and frozen brine shrimp are excellent choices, along with other meaty foods. Additionally, providing high-quality marine flake and marine pellet food can further supplement their dietary needs.
