Temperament: Semi-Aggressive

Minimum Tank Size: 50 gallons
The Naoko's Fairy Wrasse, native to the Indian Ocean, showcases distinct sexual dimorphism, with the male exhibiting brighter and more vibrant colors compared to the female. Fully grown males display a striking combination of red, yellow, and white hues, accompanied by a black pectoral fin, as well as black, red, and blue anal and dorsal fins. During courtship, the male showcases its brilliantly colored fins to attract a mate, with color intensity potentially varying depending on its mood.
Peaceful and lively, the Naoko's Fairy Wrasse is an excellent addition to a fish-only or reef aquarium with a capacity of 50 gallons or more. When housed alongside other wrasses of the Cirrhilabrus or Paracheilinus species, they may exhibit territorial behavior and assert dominance over similar species. However, they pose no threat to corals or invertebrates, making them an ideal choice for a reef aquarium. It's important to note that these wrasses have a tendency to jump, so a secure and tightly fitting canopy is strongly recommended.
To ensure proper nutrition, the diet of Naoko's Fairy Wrasse should consist of vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty foods. Additionally, incorporating high-quality marine flakes and pellets designed for marine species is essential for their well-being.
