The Black Leopard Wrasse, also known as the Leopard Wrasse or Yellowspotted Wrasse, displays a striking appearance with its dark body adorned with light blue to yellowish spots. Notably, its dorsal fin features eye-catching black and white diagonal stripes, and some individuals may exhibit red highlights on their tail and head.

To provide a suitable environment for these captivating wrasses, it is recommended to have a 90-gallon or larger aquarium with well-established live rock and a layer of live sand. When introducing them into the tank, it's beneficial to do so in groups of three or more, as they tend to thrive better in such social settings. Their primary diet consists of small invertebrates like foraminiferans and amphiopods, which are commonly found on live rock.

To maintain their health and vibrant colors, the Black Leopard Wrasse should be offered a well-balanced diet. This includes vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp and frozen brine shrimp, alongside other meaty foods. It is also advisable to supplement their diet with high-quality marine flake and marine pellet food. By meeting their dietary needs and providing a suitable habitat, these beautiful wrasses can flourish and become a delightful addition to any marine aquarium.
