The Mantis Shrimp is a colorful and intelligent creature with a unique personality. However, due to their predatory nature, they should only be kept in a solo aquarium as they will consume any snails and fish they can catch. Additionally, these creatures have been known to shatter glass walls of most aquariums, so it's best to keep them in an acrylic tank.
Mantis Shrimp prefer lower lighting and require rocks and sand to create a burrow. Keep in mind that they have a habit of rearranging their environment to their liking.
When it comes to feeding, the Mantis Shrimp primarily eats live food such as crabs, snails, shrimp, and small fish. However, they can also be trained to eat pellets and various frozen foods.
