The Masked Goby, native to the Caribbean reefs, derives its name from its distinctive features - a transparent body with an orange face adorned with white spots. In the aquarium, they thrive best in a 10-gallon or larger tank with ample hiding places, as they tend to hover above the bottom in caves and shaded areas of reefs. These gobies are generally peaceful and can be found schooling on the reef. Notably, they have been known to successfully spawn in a well-maintained aquarium.

To maintain their health, the Masked Goby's diet should include a variety of brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, table shrimp, and frozen food preparations suitable for carnivores. Feeding small amounts multiple times a day is recommended to ensure their dietary needs are met.
