The Skunk Tilefish is native to the deeper rubble zones of the Indo-Pacific and is commonly observed swimming in pairs. Its elongated body is predominantly white, accentuated by a striking red line that follows the lateral line of the fish. Additionally, the body, fins, and eyes possess a subtle blue tint, enhancing the visual allure of this species. With its peaceful nature, the Skunk Tilefish can make a captivating addition to any community aquarium.

To accommodate the Skunk Tilefish, a spacious aquarium of at least 50 gallons is necessary, providing ample room for swimming. The presence of a sandy substrate, with a minimum depth of 3 inches, is important as it allows the fish to burrow. Keeping them in pairs is recommended, as it aids in their acclimation to the new environment and promotes their comfort. It is worth noting that the Skunk Tilefish has a tendency to jump, so a securely fitted canopy is essential for their safety.

When it comes to their diet, a diverse selection of meaty foods should be offered. Chopped pieces of marine fish and shrimp, as well as frozen mysis or brine shrimp, are ideal choices. Feeding the Skunk Tilefish at least twice a day is recommended to ensure their nutritional needs are met.
